1994 Camry making humming/whistling noise
I'm having a slight problem with my 94 Camry and need some advice. The car has started making a whistling or humming noise when accelerating or decelerating from 20 to 40 mphs. Under that speed and over there is no noise. The noise seems to be coming from the heating vents or the defroster, but neither the heater or A/C have been on. I have tried putting the car in park and going to about 2500 rpms, but there is no noise. I have been to several mechanics, but the can't reproduce the noise either. This seems to be an intermittent problem. Car has run fine since I bought it last year. This is a new problem. Any advice is appreciated.

Re: 1994 Camry making humming/whistling noise
are the vents open? the car doesnt have to have the ac/vents running for air to pass through sometimes, if there are vents that are closed (far left and far right vents only have this) they will sometimes create noise at certain speeds, thats a simple idea from me....
