GTA3 question...just backtracking a bit here...

yes, an old game that i miss so much...i decided to play it again (though i am reaching more than what i did the last time around, which was just a bit).

my question would be this:

i'm in the mission already where i try to rescue Maria from Carmen over at the dam...but when the cutscene starts where Carmen orders the chopper to start up and go, the two henchmen guarding Maria start shooting at her, and of course, Maria's dead by that time so the mission quickly fails.

is there a way to this? because i read in online FAQs that you can actually shoot those guards...

oh yeah. before i forget...













i got the all pedestrians attack each other cheat coz i thought it'd be fun to see everyone getting it on with each other. that got anything to do with it?

i just shot the chopper down with rocket launcher then went and got her, didnt have much problems with it
