Question Firefox help

I have the most Firefox release. For some reason, it won't save my passwords and names in the individual sites. Having me type them in each time. Any suggestions that i checked the wrong boxes or something? I've looked and everything seems to be the same as it was on the previous version.

Re: Firefox help

Tools--->Options

Privacy--->Passwords

Make sure "Remember passwords" is checked.

hope that helped

if not i believe theres a list of sites that you want your password never to be saved on which you need to clear...should be on the same screen as remember passwords

You mentioned dorm, I will assume then you are using the internet thorugh the university's network. In that case its most likelly that your uni is filtering access and blocking off that site.

To bypass that you would need to use a service such as Anonymizer or for free Tor network.

can't say i'm surprised since they are known systems to bypass packet filtering and traffic shaping with the use of packet encryption. So your it guys are probably blocking those off too.
