98 Sonoma. 4X4 Issue.

I have a 98 Sonoma 4X4 ZR2 suspension. My transfercase motor was shot when I got the truck. I installed another one. Now all I have is 4WD Lo and 2WD Hi. I can't get it to shift into 4WD Hi. I also have to come to a stop and shift to Neutral to get it to work. (obviously you wouldn't shift to Lo while moving, but you could). I have replaced the switch and also the module which controls the 4WD. 4Lo works great. Any ideas? I broke a front axle shaft and while it was in the shop(was in a crunch and had to get it fixed that day), I had the mechanics look it over. They couldn't fix it either. What gets me is the lights on the dash indicating what mode you're in, don't work correctly. I think that's a sign. Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

Sounds like you got a bad t-case motor.
