Help, looking at an OI '78 tomorrow

hi,

tomorrow i'm off to look at an Oscar India '78. however i know very little about Astons. i'm currently a Porscheman, and can tell you lots about those!

ultimately i've always wanted an Aston and still kick myself for turning down a DB6 vantage for £14,000 two years ago. i know, i know, so now i'm trying to make up for it.

the car is with a dealer. i do know from a previous near aston miss that V8s can suffer from a dropped bung, but can't remember the test to discern this. if anyone knows this i would be grateful. also any other info i should ask the dealer. obviously i can get under the car and check the sills.

the more thoughts and suggestions the better.

fortunately my visit has been postponed for a week, so i have a bit more time to sort myself out.

thanks for the suggestion, actually i already have registered there, and yes, i did get more response.
