lack of parts for '88 s-15..?

am i being a post whore? i have a few general quesitons to ask about the S-10 and s-15 lineup....

i own a 2WD '88 GMC s-15 (extended cab) and im wondering why theres soo many different specs for different years of these cars, when theyre fundimentaly the same. i know that the earlier years had carbourated engines, but howcome no one seems to make headers for the 88 TBI 2.8?!?! all the good parts lists seem to end around 86-87. and then theres the grills and bumpers. 83-87 bumpers......89-93 bumpers and grills (aftermarket stuff) but what about '88!?!?!

cant i not put the smoother, rounder series of GMC grilles on my 88? what about replacement chrome bumpers and exhaust headers? Im looking to update the looks and performance on my truck... its in very decent shape. im having a hard time finding lots in the way of parts. what about non-rice looking turn signals and head/taillights? bed rail liners? rollpan? windsheild visor? any suggestions?
