'99 Cav Front Door Speaker Install
Yes, I am most definitely a newbie and this is my first time attempting to modify anything in my car by myself and I can't find good instructions...
I'm replacing the 4x6 coaxial speakers in my front doors with 4x6 coaxial speakers (blew the other ones... oops). I read the door panel removal instructions (which were awesome and easy to follow, by the way), but I have no idea what's going on BEHIND the door. I have a pair of crappy aftermarket speakers in there now, so am I right in assuming this is going to be a plug and play kind of thing or is there any kind of rewiring I'm going to need to do? I know this has been asked multiple times before and you're all probably going to get ticked that it's being asked once again, but I did look back a few pages and couldn't find anything this specific. Thanks in advance, Alison |

Quote:
if you have aftermarket speakers that means u cut the connector to the speakers if you didnt either you cut it or or attach small wires to the conectors wires remember is only 4 screws to attach the speakers to the door if you have the stock attachment you might be able to use it to attach the new speaker easily if you dont have it just look if you have to drill new small holes depending on the hole pattern of the speaker and watch for polarity |
