Valve adjustment on 2001 V-6?

My Haynes manual says a valve adjustment is needed after 60,000 miles, but I thought I had haydraulic lifters.

Re: Valve adjustment on 2001 V-6?

No hydraulic lash adjusters on 1998+ 3.2/3.5L. It's a direct acting valvetrain. Shims need to be changed for clearance adjustment. Never heard of one needing to be done.
