My clutch is almost dead - HELP!

Hi, Can someone give me an idea of how big a repair this could be? I was driving around last night and all of a sudden my clutch got super soft (was very tight with good resistance). It has become extremely hard to get it into gear and I have to shove the clutch all the way to the floor to engage a gear. Also, once in gear it is really unsteady until it smooths out after driving a bit. Anyone got any thoughts on this? Clutch cable? Whole transmission?
Thanks

Re: My clutch is almost dead - HELP!

hey bro, ya you need to get that clutch replaced. I am assuming that you have adjusted the clutch cable all the way out already? If not do that first. If you have done that then you need to get that clutch replaced. once mine got to that point it lasted about a week. it takes a while to do though if your doing it yourself. I have a 94 isuzu and im sure its about the same. first time it took me about 7 hours, but that was in the parking lot of the auto parts store where i work...not the ideal conditions to replace a clutch.
