Re: Topless Trio: 348ts

Thanks you all for the kind words, since we'd updated the TT thread, you'll find here some few detail of the 348 interiors. Don't forgot to check the TT (link below) to see the spectacular jobs of the other 2 mosquetiers

Well, few words regarding the guidelines: I skip the terribles Hasegawa interiors and I choose to use Fujimi 335 interiors, that're questly wrong for the 335 but perfect for the 348, also are vry crispy and full of details, I love expecially the vents, really well done. So far some picts: I used Vallejo acrylics and Hiro carpet material.

Fuji is the cream kind.

doors panels: tamiya custom mixture ("light black"?) I do it with flat black, a bit of white (1/10) and a bit of clear blue (1/10) so I'll whashing whit black later.

Vents masked and sprayed with X18:

Re: Topless Trio: 348ts

So since I finally decided to do the spider (not the TS) I need to do some works on seats which're different to leave free space for the capote (I guess): some refs of the real stuff:

so I start to work mine with stirene and mill, some kilos of putty and a lot of patience:

I add also some side reinforcement in the seat and back's pokets, maded trought 0.1mm stirene

finished, cursed and primed

also the headrest is really different: narrowed, fat and wit a whole different desig: I done with several thin layers of putty (normal, Tamy) than I cutted it and smoothed down.

At least I preshaded with marron the grooves and sprayed 4 layer of valleyo sand (opaque). You'll achieve a convincing leather appeal just polishing a bit with a tissue (thanks to my friend Ricky for this stunning tip)

Re: Topless Trio: 348ts

So I tried to imprrove the tech. I used on my 360CS's seats: decals as seam: I think it's a bit better, probably due to the sipmle line pattern and to some applications tip (work fast, firm, wet and w/out softeners)

I done with decals also back panel's lines and nuts.

after cured I sprayed wit a couple hand of Gunze matt, than I polished seats with a soft clots. (once a time)

Re: Topless Trio: 348ts

How do you think if your precious pony is still burning and you can't find anestinguisher? I need one. Body with turned aluminium (I loved Mark's S7 stuff so I try to do something similar: I know I'm far millions light years from this master ) and hinges with cutted and folded metal sheet

Re: Topless Trio: 348ts

Some few details on seatbelts: belt from surgical tape, harness tip from eduard, hook from cutted and folded metal sheet:

Finally so far some (almost) finished interior pics:

Thanks a lot friends for support and don't forgot to do a turn on the TT common thread
