cd player removal? 2001 accent GSI
well im wondering if the plugs on the back of the stock cd player on a 2001 accent GSI (the one not in the owners manual) will work with a aftermarket cd player (if it would be plug and play) reason im asking is my mother has a stock 2001 accent gsi and im wanting to put my headunit (kenwood cd player) in to see how it sounds with an aftermarket cd player. im also wondering how the stock headunit is held in (is it the same as aftermarket cd players, with the clip on each side that just needs to be popped open to slide the unit out or is it bolted?)

Re: cd player removal? 2001 accent GSI
my alpine head unit i had to shave off some of the plastic stuff so it fits in perfectly snug i put in a after market wiring kit im not sure if you can just plug the old one in but it should be hard just to sauder a couple wires and attach a new kit especially if you are hooking up any other after market stereo equipment like subs or an amp
pm me back i should be able to help as much as i can seeing i just did my accent with a full 4 speaker head unit amp and subs so ill see what i can do |
