my check engine light has been on now for about two weeks, and i got i checked and code (66 came up which is mass air flow sensor, i found a tube that comes off intake sleeve that was not connected, i followed it and found that it went to other side of supercharger, reconnected, now idle is rought when first start, and when not moving idle bounces around between 700 and 1000 rpms. ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRICATED!!??

Re: bad hesitation 1st gear
My 93, had a similar problem, I opened up the mass air sensor module, and very carefully cleaned the element with electrical parts cleaner, it had some sort of corrsion build up on it and when I cleaned it, it worked perfectly afterwards. the sensor is very sensitive, and even a small amount of foreign material on the element will cause problems. the engine comp will then try to compensate by improperly adjusting the air/fuel ratio.

Re: bad hesitation 1st gear
How is your air cleaner? is there any restriction? Sometimes the resonator (Box constructed like a maze for which air will pass through - located in your front quarter panel underneath your air box setup) will get plugged and cause restriction. I removed my resonator because of this as well. It is oK. to remove this if you do not drive your car on many dusty, gravel back roads. removing it means less restriction and more power for your v8. also, in removing it you can hear your intake alot better and it will sound throatier like amustang intake. when I removed mine, I also put in a performance K&n cleanable air filter, and these two things did wonders for both my power and fuel efficiency. Cleaning you throttle body is a god idea if you haven't before, however, make sure you get the right stuff for your particular engine. some intake cleaners should not be used with intakes that have teflon coatings (newer models). and make sure you follow the directions explicitly, injecting the cleaner into the engine and letting it sit for too long may cause damage to your system and its sensors. If you do it right and run your engine while spraying and you notice alot of black carbon smoke, as well as dirty solvent runoff, then it is going to need more than one application. hope this helps.

Re: bad hesitation 1st gear
You'll have to pull the MAF apart to clean the element. You aren't by any chance running a K&N are you? If they're over oiled they'll gunk the MAF up quick.
