I miss my car and its still in my driveway.

I dunno who all read my thread over on 3si but my car is done now. Not sure if I cracked a piston, broke a ringland, cracked a head or what but she now has to be rebuilt before I can drive her anymore. I am taking the oportunity while its down to get alot of other things done that I have been wanting to do.

Good luck on the new GTO Musashi.

Re: A farewell to Musashi.

NA SOHC. I have had bad compression for a while. I had the car sitting for 7 months as it was because of a major oil leak an no money to fix things. I just started driving it again in February. I knew it was getting worse and wasnt going to last a whole lot longer. Unfortunately it didnt last as long as I'd hoped. It will be a badder beast when its doen though.

HIjacking again

Really sorry Stealthee, I hadn't heard that. Best of luck with the rebuild.

Re: A farewell to Musashi.

Instead of going to all the work of a rebuild how about a boosted DOHC?

It would cost me much more money and effort to do that than rebuilding my SOHC. I need a BUNCH of extra parts to even put a NA DOHC in my car. The parts (other than the engine) alone will cost as much as my rebuild. Then I'd have to get an engine and supporting mods. I aint in it for all out speed. When its all said and done I will be hanging with lightly modded DOHC's and blowing them away when I hit the juice.

Re: A farewell to Musashi.

Now is the perfect time to scrap that V6 and go for a big block 454!
