Bleeding Air from Radiator
Regarding how to bleed air from a radiator, a previous post mentioned:
" The bleeder should be on a metal tube that runs from the lower radiator hose to the heater core." Can someone help me locate this hose? As far as I can tell, the lower radiator hose branches off to the overflow tank and to the engine, I don't see any metal tube actually connected to the lower radiator hose. THere is a metal tube that connects to the radiator slightly above where the lower hose goes into the radiator; is that the one? I can expand if needed, but in general, I am having idle overheat issues due to what I beleive to be air trapped in the radiator. |

QUOTE] The hose normally runs across the front of the engine from the lower radiator hose junction point on the left side, to the firewall on the right side (driver side) to the heater core. Look for a tube that has a label attached stating something like "Do not vent while engine is running" This is the bleeder screw.

Re: Bleeding Air from Radiator
Thanks, the screw was right in front of me but I had no idea what it was for. Bleeding was a piece of cake and my problem is fixed. Thanks again!
