The reason that your speedo won't go over 25 might be because the VSS isn't working now that the tbi is gone. Did you ditch the whole computer and sensors when you made the switch? That would have been a bad move cause you torque converter lock up is controled by the ECU, if you don't have that then I could see you having some shifting problems.

Now that I think about it your biggest problem is probably the TV cable bracket. A TBI TV cable and a carb TV cable are the same length but I'm almost 100% sure your going to need a different bracket. You might have to convert your speedo to a manual geared one instead of electric. Not quite sure how to get your TCC to work though...
