Re: new z car owner .... turbo?

well it depends on what you want to do.. are you looking for a car that gets good gas mileage, and still has some pep, or are you looking for a car in which gas mileage isn't as important as power...

If option one, get a big ol' cone style intake, a 2.5" exhaust with high flow cat, and Headers... if anything, headers are the single best mod you can do to an n/a car.

Now if you want option two, than turbo'ing the car is a MUST. I'd suggest finding a turbo engine and dropping it in. If you want good power, get yourself a 3"Downpipe-back exhaust with a 3" high flow cat, a big ass cone style intake, aftermarket boost gauge and boost controller, and raise the boost to around 8 PSI... you can go even higher if you add an intercooler...

It'd be better if you could give us more info on what you want to do...

Re: new z car owner .... turbo?

^your question is too vague to give an answer... did you turbo and n/a engine or is a factory turbo engine... n/a's have a higher compression ratio, and therefore you can't boost as high without a few modifications. You really shouldn't boost above stock levels unless you have an intake, exhaust, and at least a downpipe (to be on the safe side). But you NEED to get an aftermarket boost gauge if you're going to be boosting.

Re: new z car owner .... turbo?

ive ran 12 psi on a wore out turbo and a na motor with stock turbo cams
ive also ran 12 psi on a maxima head (same bottom end only a larger head chamber resulting in lower compression)
either set up was on a wore out motor (and wore out turbo) and both setups ran for about 4 months
and if your good an engine swap only takes 12 hours......
if your even better you can do it in under 4

get a new turbo (slightly larger than stock but keep the internal gat) with a maxima head and run 10 psi and youll be fine for a long time......

alkso get the intake and exhaust

or if you want to spend very little money just remove the ac, power steering and mechanicle fan(fan must be replaced by an electric) put the cone filter on it and an exhaust (if noithing else a muffler)

also the seats are pretty heavy go to your local speed shop and pick up some light weight buckets

and who need carpet thats what you got as house for isnt it

jsut to get your noodle working

oh and by the way you probably shouldnt listen to a word i say
