Car Idle Speed?
I'm looking to purchase a 2004 Sonata with only 42,700 miles on it. It's a nice little car (I say little I'm used to my old crown victoria). However, it was idleing a little rough. I noticed it was idleing right around 750 rpms and under and when I pressed the gas all the vibration went away at 1000 rpm. Is this normal? Should I just have them adjust the idle? Thanks

Re: Car Idle Speed?
Which/what size engine does it have? I know my 2.4L 4cyl and some of the other 4's are just a little rough at idle, but that's normal. If it's really noticable the engine may need a new balance belt if it is equipped with one, or like you said, the idle speed may be a bit low.
