Check Gauges Warning ??

HERE GOES !!!!!

I bought this 96 with 124,000 on it about a year ago, and the TEMP gauge never worked, had the oil changed at Valvoline 3 days ago and decided to drive the car today (kinda Nice) well this ricer decided to tempt me so i showed him what a real car could do and blew his doors off.

I noticed that the "Check Gauge" light came on. I called the wife and had her look it up in the service manual. it says abnormal volts, temp, or oil gauge. I looked down and say the temp gauge to the half mark, but the oil pressaure was between the first and half mark (usually half and last mark) then the CG light went out. I returned home to check the coolant temp and found to be about 200 deg. aftwer sitting for about 20 minutes ( to Hot ) checked my oil (fine). I put the baby back in the garage, after starting her up , the temp gauge was cold agian, and the oil was about half..
