Talking look what i bought of ebay and i'm a happy bunny

i bought this Tamiya Nissan Fairlady 280ZT T-bar roof Pace Car off ebay and arrived this morning and i'm HAPPY, and i have no plans to build it just yet as i have 2 models under construction and so once its finished, i'll start on this one

its kit number 35, i already have the same one and its called Datsun 280ZX T-bar roof, kit number 15 which the pace car is based on with extra bits added

Good find! I built the T-bar (non-pace car) version many years ago. I'd love to get another sometime. My full top version will have to do for now.

Nice! What a cool kit! Do the kit instructions say what races it served in? Knowing Tamiya, I expect was a real car, not just a 'hypothetical'.

Seeing some of the great stuff that Tamiya has put out over the years, I have a hard time caring much that they're not putting out new stuff. As long as they keep reissuing (or if I can find stuff on Ebay), I'll be happy for decades....

thanks guys

according to the instructions, it was used as a general pace car in a lot of the races during the 70's and early 80's

this kit also came with a motor included unlike recent re-issues didnt include one and i'll wont be using it
