Vibration

I have a 95 camry.I feel a strong vibration everytime i run 75 mph and it feels like is coming from the rear.I know i need a wheel alignment on my car
but the vibration wasn't that strong before.Could this be something else beside wheel alignment? Can someone here give an idea of what might be the
problem.THANK YOU...

Re: Vibration

It could be wheel balancing. You may have lost a wheel weight. You can check that our for yourself by looking at the wheel (both sides) to see if you can see a spot where a weight was, that has fallen off. It will usually have dirt marks around where it was. Either way, I would get the wheels balanced and see if that cures the problem.

Another test you can do yourself is to put the spare tire on (don't forget Camrys have a full size spare) where you suspect the vibration is coming from and take the car for a ride. If your vibration is gone, you now know it is coming from that wheel and tire combination. You can move the spare around to the 4 wheel and tire positions to check out each one.

I would suspect wheel balancing before alignment problems.
