1976 280Z Bumper Replacement
Has anyone installed the 240Z bumpers on their 280? If so, how difficult is the process? Thanx

This time I would like a little chrome, like the 240 style bumpers, but am wondering myself how difficult it will be to install |

Yeah, There was a time when i wanted to do the same thing, before i figured I'd rather have the shock absorbing properties of the big ones to protect my precious Z. From what i read though its fairly simple, you just unbolt the big bumpers and the shock absorbers and bolt the little ones onto the body. Heres a pic

I was told that you have to build a mounting bracket to make the bumper conversion work. It would be nice if you could buy this hardware or get the plans to make it yourself.
