Help!!! CCV Orifice Installation

Folks,

I just cleaned my CCV orifice and I didn't know that it would be such a B%$#H to get the freakin' thing back in. Anybody got any hints???? That thing seems like it's tripled in size....

Re: Help!!! CCV Orifice Installation

Oh...this is brutal. Anyone know if it is just easier to buy the new part? I can't imagine how I'm going to wedge this thing back in. I definately can't do it just by hand....

Info/solution

(1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee IL6)

Well,

Trying to get the old part back in was futile.

So, I went to the dealership today and got a new grommett and orafice for $10.00 and change with tax. I didn't think you could purchase them seperately, but apparently you can.

The new grommett took about 5 minutes to work it in and then I pushed the orafice elbow fitting down into it by lightly applying pressure with a small crowbar. Popped right in good as new.

Thought you guys might like the info....
