Well Ducktape works great for everything! just kidding!

Is the metal all mis shapped from the person breaking in?
A body shop might charge you a few bucks to fix the sheet metal if it is so outta wack that the new lock won't go in.
Someone correct me if I am wrong.

You can go to the dealer and get a replacement lock. Don't know how much, I haven't bought one in almost 15 years.

Re: trunk....

without the key cylinder in there, anyone with a screwdriver can get in your trunk. You'll either have to fix where they bent it up and put in a new lock cylinder, or put in an electric remote release and cover the hole with sheet metal.

Re: trunk....

You could try getting a whole new trunk (lid) at the junkyard, if you could find one in good shape & the same color. Just get the key with it!

Re: trunk....

Shave it.... You won't have to worry about them popping your trunk again...
