F***in BullSh!t ! worst ticket ever $500 6pnts

ok this one goes down in the books as one of the stupidest crapiest $500 reckless driving with a possible 6 points ever....

Well there is this 3000gt i wanna buy from my managers husband at work.... me n his wife are working at my parents restaurant... he comes up there with the 3kgt and knows i love the car and wanna buy it .. we go outside bc i wanna check it out... he says get in and i cant refuse....

we drive down this small simple sidestreet behind abunch of busniess' and he is reving and has a real nice dual exhaust with dual pipes and all that stuff .... we go about 3 blocks straight not going faster then like 30 but kinda loud bc the engine/exhaust.....

turn around and do the same with a small peelout.... all of a sudden we pull back into the restaurant parking lot and a f'en black car blocks him in.. i get out to go back in work and next thing i kno lights turn on and im like wtf? and its the F*CKEN MAYOR OF THE CITY cruising around with his family in a unmarked police car?!?!?! with lights... so he blocks him in and calls back-up.. i guess he forms a complaint to 3 cop cars who pull up in the next 10 minutes... they said he was reckless driving ?!!? he hardly HARDLY spun his tires and wasnt going faster then 30 (i was watching the speedometer)

they search him,his car and are total f'ing dicks to him and give him a 500 dollar ticket for reckless driving and possible 6 points.. ?! this isnt even reckless driving and the cops didnt even see it ... only bc a person (THE GAY ASS MAYOR) made a formal complaint about him....

Can this guy block him in ? and then make a complaint to result in a 500 dollar ticket that cops didnt even see... they didnt even listen to his side of the story and told him to shut the hell up ..... im basically screwed bc im never gonna get my dream car that i love now !!! this sucks....

Can they even do this sh!t... one cop outta 5 who would listen to a little of what he said after they gave him the ticket said 'make sure u make a court date and show up" and thats all

but thats pretty obvious ..... please help some thanks!

Well, that $500 seems extremely harsh. When I was racing a guy and had my tires squealing all the way through first and squeaked into second I only got a $64 ticket. He may be able to argue it down to something smaller since the police didn't see it. I would go in and talk to the prosecuting attorney at the court house and see if he can get it lowered. I tried that when I was going 81mph in a 55 (26 over) and they reduced it to a 70 in a 55. You may want to post this thread in the 3kgt forum (tell them I said to) because many of them are very knowledgable about this sort of thing. Trying to argue it may be difficult just for the fact that they will take the mayors word because hes head of the town in a manner of speaking. If it were some average Joe that reported you and the cops didn't see anything you could get it dropped (which in that case I doubt they would even write a ticket). Best of luck to him.

Well barely squealing is still squealing and excessive acceleration is against the law. I don't think it's as bad as wreckless driving especially if a cop didn't personally see it.

ya thanks ... i want one extremly badly but i think this was my only chance.... ive been working my ass off ever since ive seen his car in the parking lot one day.. i love that car.. his wife was in tears after they gave him the ticket ... i want it so bad its insane .. when i was in it i felt like if he crashed and i died ... i would at least have died in the beautiful car...
hopefully every thing works out for them and mayb ill get another chance with her....

I'm a bit confused, how does him getting a ticket, prevent you from getting the car? If anything wouldn't an expensive ticket give him more incentive to get rid of the car?

my parents will almost definatly find out about this and if they think this car could be bad for me its a big no on me gettin it... ive never been pulled over and no accidents or nothing... i run like ... and this is no joke about 15+ arrands a week for my parents in my current p.o.s , but they dont care ..
Also because im afraid to bring up the subject about the car to them again .. they were really pissed and i kinda feel it this would have never happend if it was for me...

Seems to me that if the mayor is the one who makes the complaint and saw the "offense," in order to proove there was and "offense," the mayor is going to have to testify. I'll bet he won't want to bother.

Yah definately fight the ticket as the cops have no proof of what he did except the word of another person, being the mayor or not unless he has a camera mounted in his car and has video proof then they can't do anything. Second if you're old enough to drive and have the cash to buy the car and can afford the insurance then why do your parents even have to be involved in you buying the car? Just go to the guy give him the cash take the title where you get your car registered at and fill out the back and pay taxes on it and have everything changed over and it's all done.

Exactly. Wreckless driving is a misdemeanor criminal charge (in most states at least). Because of this (since it was a non-violent crime) you are allowed the right to face your accuser in court. He isn't qualified to testify in regards to the speed the car went, As far as I can tell, the closest thing he could be qualified to testify on would be excessive acceleration, and even then it might not be the case. At any rate, that is a 4 point ticket (in most states) and most states allow a sort of deferment policy of up to 3 or 4 points with a good behavior period (generally 6 months to 2 years).

So if this was a Dodge Neon you wanted and this guy chirped a tire turning around- your parents wouldn't let you drive Neons anymore? That strikes me as being kinda funny since most every minivan and SUV can squeal tires pretty easily.

Now if this is a heavily modified 3000GT VR4 and he did a 4-wheel burnout for 100 yards through two complete gears... I could see them being awfully concerned. It doesn't sound like that's the case.

well after they found at last night they said theres no way im getting this car "because it attracts attention" it has tints and all that and is just reall nice ... i cant buy the car myself you have to be 18 to title it .. i think in my state anyways... and for insurance too i think or else insurance for myself would probally be like ? alot.... .i duno whatever they pissed my off so bad.. iwork for them and im going to quite and tell them to fuck off and i threw the keys to my shitty lebaron at my dad and said take this stupid fucking pos and run the 20 arrands i run a week yourself.... so whatever i dont care anymore bc they dont even listen to me and all i wanted was this car..

o this comment.. they know the mayor and therefore if he sayds he was wreckless driving then they believe him over me ... i told them he wasnt(which he wasnt) and they fact the car is actually nice and fast this is just an exscuse they were looking for for me not to get it

Just as a heads up for your friend man. For the court date, DO NOT go in and try to argue the ticket and what not without an attorney. If you hire one, they can usually get you out of the thing without even having to go to court. If you go in and fight it by yourself and lose, normally your screwed for sure then. Happened to me when I fought my ticket against the majestrate. Then hired an attorney and he got me out of a speeding ticket for 10 over with switching it to an impeading traffic ticket with a cost of $200.00 Sounds expensive but it was much better that the points on my license for speeding along with the higher insurance.
