Doors, 2 Door Cav

like 3 months ago i was involved in a side swipe accident and it screwed up my front bumper, right fender and right door, well anyway i went to a salvage yard in my car to get a new door, i talked to the ppl inside they said they had one and that i could take a look at it, it was great door got it for 100 bucks and it was color of my car, a worker took the door off the salvaged car and put it into a van that they use for the lot there and then he took it to my car, i went to grab the door out of the back of the van and i almost shit, the door must weight 150 lbs or very close to it, i tried to put it in the trunk and the door height wise is wider then the trunk opening it wouldnt fit all the way in so me and my dad tried to see if we could some how get it in the back seat and well the door length wise is just about as wide as the car itself, if i had a 4 door i prob could have gotten into the back seat or maybe even the trunk, but since i have a 2 door i had to worry about moving the door the door past the front seats and it just wasnt gonna fit inside the back, so we just wedged it into the trunk then we drove the 40 miles home.

lol, it was nuts the whole 80 mile trip was boring as hell nothing but trees and cops the whole fricken way (there and back)

but all in all it was a good deal for a door that was already the color of my car.

100 bucks for the door
6 bucks or so for tax
and 20 bucks for gas

not bad i just wished i would have barrowed my brothers van.

sorry for such a long ass post.

To make the installation job a little easier, place a floor jack with a piece of 4X4 post under the door. It's pretty much a 2 person job, but you can raise and lower the jack to align it easier.
