Do I put Charlie Sheen on the same pedestal as foreign dignitaries, diplomatic figures, eyewitnesses on the scene, and prominent members of related industries in respect to knowedge of policies and practices related to 9/11? I don't know that I'd go that far (the guy obviously didn't hesitate to plug a show he was on at the time.) I do however agree wholeheartedly that there has been widespread coverup about the events surrounding this catastrophy nearly half a decade after it occurred. There WILL be more investigation into this, there HAS to be -- because the (conveniently) government sanctioned ones have so far left us with little explanation as to the hows and whys of 9/11. There are just far too many holes for even the administration to classify and lock away, and let's face it -- the "official" story up to this point really has no more credibility than many of the "conspiracy theories" floating around. I mean come on! At least the conspiracy people are trying to back up their claims with as much analysis, footage, and testimony as they can get their hands on. What have we gotten from the government so far? A dozen guys with boxcutters, several video frames of highly questionable quality, explanations that seem to run completely askew of time-tested experience and guidelines, and a case of the most secretive and closed administration in memory.

It's difficult to keep reopening the wound considering how many people were affected by the tragedy, but it needs to be kept in the forefront of our minds (the administration certainly has no qualms about revisiting the event when the need arises.) And not just because it's Bush and Cheney and all the other components of an administration we may or may not like, but because the policies instituted now will only gain more and more acceptance into the next presidential term, and the one after that, and so on. I for one do not want this to be the beginning of a long line of secretive, suspect, and increasingly overreaching administrations.

There is a lot of dirty laundry that needs to be severely aired out immediately -- and the powers-that-be are doing all they can stifle it.
