catalytic converter

my grand prix as 210 000KM with original cat .what is the life of cat.(scuse my english im very bad)

I know GP owners that still have their original CAT convertor with 200,000 miles on the odometer. And I've seen them fail as early as 50K miles.

If the CAT had an efficiency problem you would probably get a SES light and a DTC error code of P0420. The other way to know if the CAT is working right is whether you pass or fail an emissions test.

GM's basic warranty on a CAT is 80,000 miles or 8 years whichever comes first depending on your year model GP.

i try my gp on track and make 17.00 1/4mile and surch he reason of this.GP make low 16 on 1/4 .i have some mod ,i dont understand this time

Do you have the u-bend delete? Also consider a hi-flow CAT convertor.

yes u-bend and res delete i think this summer to put high flow cat, this help me

the second o2 sensor can detect blocked cat.
