90 Accord Hesitation

I have a 90 Accord and it has a hesitation problem at about 2000 rpm, have to step onthe gas to elimate the problem. Prior I was getting a code 43 and I repalced the fuel filter. After i replaced the fuel filter I took it for a test drive and after sometime I started to get the hesitation again. This time the ECU gave me a reading on the 2nd light of 15.... the light on the left (1st one) just kept blinking in a slowly steady rythem of a single blink. ANyone have any help here??

How many miles, and what maintainence has been done when.
I'd clean out the EGR, and swap the plugs/wires.

I had a similar problem with my 91 accord. It may be a TCU problem. I'm assuming you have a "S" (Green - Sport) light? When you have the S light on, the acceleration is better than when it is off.

I had a problem where the S light started blinking and the car started hesitating and would not shift to fourth gear. It would rev high and would not accelerate unless I floored it. It turned out that I needed to replace my TCU (Transmission Control Unit). It cost me $100 from a Junk Yard to replace it. Most people say that the replacement TCU you buy must have the same serial as the one in your car. I've learned that this is untrue. I put in another TCU in my car from another 91 accord but it had a different serial and it worked great! Once you replace that, then you will not have that hesitation any more.

The TCU is located next to your ECU on the passenger floor. Good luck.

From what I found, code 43 could be: Fuel supply system circuit OR fuel supply system...not sure which. I'd start checking out:

1. The fuel pressure
2. The fuel pressure regulator
3. Fuel pump ( can you hear any noise from the fuel pump) it might not be getting enough voltage at low rpms. Hotwiring it would solve that specific issue.
