strange noise 98 windstar...please HELP
I have a 98 Windstar with just under 127,00 miles. Yesterday I was driving and I heard a noise that sounded like I was dragging something metal. I drove until I could pull over and looked under the car and didn't see anything hanging off. I drove a little more and the brakes felt "squishy."
The noise stopped and I was able to drive the vehicle home. I have been searching to try to figure this out. ANY help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

When you stepped on the brakes, did that sound get louder or more pronounced? Was it in the front or the back? You might have to turn off the radio and roll down the window a little to make listening easier.
