90 Lumina 3.1 no spark...

well, my son has a 91 lumina with the 3.1 v6... the car has been running great! but recently we found that the rear passenger trailing arm rusted off the car so we parked it. i also own a 93 grand prix that has no spark as well. so we decided to pull the parts off of the lumina because we knew that they were good. so now we can't get the grand prix to run..so we put everything back on the lumina and now it won't start. we replaced ecm,cps,icm,coils,plugs,wires... still nothing... its got all the right voltages coming out of the icm and the cps is putting out the right ohms... but there is no spark! we went and talked to a mechanic and he is baffled just like us.. so if anyone can help please do!!!!

Get a scanner on it and check for cranking rpms, also check all the fuses. Post back.

ok.. we borrowed one from my friend.. it has no cranking RPM's in both cars... in the lumina it brought up a code 51 which is prom mem/cal error... so i believe i might have to change the prom or should i change the computer? help!

A bad crank sensor or wiring to the sensor or from the sensor to the icm is the most probable cause. Icm can cause this also of course. Code 51 should allow the engine to start but it would not run right, make sure it is plugged into the pcm properly, also try tapping the pcm case firmly then see if it starts, they have been troublesome as well.
