engine smoke...

Whats up, I have a d16 and when the vtec kicks in, basically WOT, smoke starts to pour out the back. Not white smoke, purpleish oil smoke.
As far as i can tell its not really burning any oil, i was wondering if anybody had any ideas as to what is wrong?

It's normal for honda engines to run extremely rich at WOT and high RPM's. The added gas buffers the combustion process and is an added safety measure to prevent engine damage at high RPM's. It's not supposed to blanket the cars behind mind you but a few puffs at near redline is normal.
