Aveo wire harness
I have a 2005 Chevy Aveo and I am trying to replace the stock stereo with a new one (my car only came with the AM/FM radio). I was just wondering what kind of wiring harness to buy. I have read the other posts and hayesbcajh suggested to buy a Daewoo harness, but circuitcity.com says that Daewoo Wiring Harnesses won't fit Aveos. Is this just an error on circuitcity.com's behalf, or will one not fit a 2005?
Thanks in advance for your responses. |

Re: Aveo wire harness
the easiest way is to get the radio out (takes 2 min)
look at the connector and go to circuit city or bestbuy and ask for both chevy and deawoo. it is a deawoo. but make sure the ends look the same. thats the only way your gonna get the right answer. Install techs and stereo guys at both places are morons.

Re: Aveo wire harness
I did this before most people knew what an Aveo is. I would imagine that by now a harness would be easy to come by and easily referenced (Crutchfield specifically lists one for the Aveo). I purchased my harness at an installation shop, not a big chain store. They very quickly determined what would fit the car. I only paid a few dollars more than the chain stores wanted. Very well worth the money knowing that it would fit without having to make additional trips to the store.
