need 2.2l engine info.

hey, I have a '97 2.2 liter auto sunfire that i want to do strickly performance to. Sorta make it a sleeper. But i cant find any perfomance parts for a 2.2l, there all for 2.4l or ecotechs, so i was wondering if anyone had any info on the 2.2l engines. Im looking to possibly turbocharging it in the future, but i want to get as much performance out of it as possible with out that. I need info on the 2.2l engines though, so i can make some modifications to make 2.4l, or other style, parts fit. Any help or info would be well appreciated.

Re: need 2.2l engine info.

turbo is about it my friend, not really ANY performance for the 2.2L

go to www.J-body.org , www.carcustoms.net , and do a search. the 2.2L can use roller rockers, they might have pistons and rods. and a few other things. Most of the companies have moved on, but there might be a few that carry a part or two.

Try to find a guy named Scrufdog, he had one of the fastest 2.2L cav's ever.

Your best bet is a motor swap, lucky for you, the GM v-6's used the same bellhousing as the 2.2L. all you would need is a donor car and a summer of working on it to make a 3400 or 3800 powered Sunfire, and for that, you make decent power (200+ HP range).
