how can i make my d16z6 vtec kick in like a b16 i heard one of those $20 chips make your vtec kick louder but i also heard they eat up all your gas so is there an other way besides buying an other engine?

V-AFC will help you to tune your vtec, air and fuel. Works best with more performance mods.

d series vtec lobes are alot smaller than b-series. you need a bigger cam for vtec to hit harder.

the real reason is that vtec is ont he exhaust and intake sides. sohc have it on the intake only
