I'm running NGK Iridium. Work great with the screamin' demon coil and OBX wires. I would say change them every 15-20k, dosn't need to be nearly as often as turbo cars.

Actually the best plugs for a 4g63 are the NGK BPR6ES. But thats considering the car is pretty much stock. BPR7ES's are for modded cars. Thanks for the post. I totally forgot to switch mine out, Ive used these for at least 10k.

Re: A friendly reminder to change your spark plugs folks.

I went to ngk's website and they say brp6ekn, a double ground plug. I wonder how those run, tey cost a lot more than brp7es's

those are the stockers, those are the best to run if running 15psi or less, 16 or higher, the bpr7es are the way to go

Re: A friendly reminder to change your spark plugs folks.

Which one's are you talking about? The brp6ekn or brp6es? i thought the es was stock. I don't see any benefit of a double ground, it's either going to spark to one side only, or spark to both with half the power which would suck.

Re: A friendly reminder to change your spark plugs folks.

I called the dealer the other day, they have the 6ekn listed as stock. I would guess the 6es is just the same thing without that extra crap. Obviously the 7es is 1 step colder

Re: A friendly reminder to change your spark plugs folks.

The 1gs came with the regular single ground, the 2Gs came stock with the double ground plugs, though no one ever puts those back in.

Re: A friendly reminder to change your spark plugs folks.

I went to advant auto, and bought some ngk plug, for my 94 eclipse. The guy pull up the list , I was suprise that BPR6ES-11 was on the list ( stock # 7133) I though it only for turbo, but any way I bought 4 ( 1.77 each ). Is this ok to put in my 94 eclipse. And since Im doing oil change tomorrow, can I use my mitsubishi oil filter ( I still have 4 left from my 97 rs ) on my 94 eclipse ?.

I don't think you will be able to use the oil filter from your 97 RS.
