maintenance light stays on

Have a 2002 Accord. Maintenace required light came on, changed engine oil and light would blink after start up, now stays on all the time. I'm new to Hondas and like to try to do my own maintenance work, the easy stuff anyway. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks to all responders!

Re: maintenance light stays on

The light is to remind you that you need to take the car for service. Once they completed the basic maintenance, they can turn off the light. You can also turn off the light yourself if you have done the service recently. Press and hold the RESET before you insert the key. Turn the key to ON position without starting the car. Hold the RESET for five seconds. The light should turn off after this process. The RESET is the same when you clear the trip mileage A or B or to see you car true mileage. The manual should have step by step on how to turn off the light.
