Exclamation 2.4L Tranny Fix

I've learned something about the 2.4 engines w/ the automatic.
when the engine goes, so will the trans.
My 2000 spent 3 months getting a transplanted engine, then almost a year going from shop to shop trying to find out what else was wrong,
The problem was that the car would not accelerate quite right, it wouldn't kick into gear when it should have. my parents wrote it off as some minor glitch, car sat for 3 months in South Lorain, on the way home, tranny quit. no forward, all it would do was reverse.
dragged it to the tranny shop, he slid a 'nother tranny in and so for the only problem has been a blown tire.

If you are having similar problems get to a tranny shop, have them put in a used trans if you have to. mine is from a donor
