A week in the life of my car (caution: multiple sentences)

This week has been my Spring Break, so I have had alot of time to just cruise around, picking up races here and there. A nice list of these now follows...

1) Stoplight battle with v6 camaro near my house, neither of us launch, he then floors it past me, and i hit it in 2nd, passing him by 50

2) 3rd gen eclipse gt highway run starting at 65 heading to a friends house, I look over at him and he immediately floors it, gets a length and half on me before i downshift to 4th, start to inch ahead until he shuts down at 85.

3) srt-4 is behind me following the eclipse run, highway construction starts up ahead so I am going 50, when it clears he guns it from behind and shoots by me, and I downshift to 3rd trying to give chase. I stop at 100 with him at least 5 lengths ahead. He slows down to 80, and then when im 2 lengths behind he punches it again, I hit the 110 limiter, and he keeps going.

4) highway run with a Probe gt coming back from the beach, he inches up to me at about 75 and i stay with him, trying to goad him into something. We get to 85 and he floors it, I'm ready for it and I get a length on him before we shut down around 105ish.

5) Coming back from a friends beach house, I'm driving in a 55 when I see a mustang gt get onto the highway from a gas station. I haven't seen one race my car so I slow down to let him catch up. He quickly does and we are both doing 50 when we floor it at the same time. I'm staying with him, which was surprising me, when I realize hes just toying with me. Then he lunged forward out of nowhere and confirmed my suspicion. We did another run from 60 to 85 with similar results.

6) Nearing home on the same trip, I pull up next to an older trans am. I'm not sure on the year, but i would guess 70's, white with dual exhaust. I drive next to him for about a mile at 80mph, and when the traffic clears he guns it. He stays with me for about 5mph, and then I put at least 2 lengths on him before we stop.

7) Last night I'm heading out to try and get some races at Cap Blvd (same place the camaro race occured. Its always very busy friday nights, and so I call up the rest of the guys and tell them Im not going to be watching the ACC tourney. 3 of them feel the same way and pack into my car. Now my car is not quick, but with an extra 500 lbs I could def feel the difference. the car manages to get us there. and we do a few laps when we notice a modded 240sx and a Lo and Behold modded SATURN haha pull out of Wendy's. we catch up to them at the next light, and let them know we are interested. They get onto the nearby highway for some runs and we follow.

After 3 honks by the saturn, we all gun it from 40. The weight is killing me, the saturn pulls about 2 lengths on me till 85, while the 240 gets a quick 2 and then starts to lose it. We do this several more times from different speeds with the same results. As we turn around, their friends probe gt pulls alongside me and asks for a race. we go from 50, and I slowly start to pull ahead until we hit 100, when we catch back up to the 240 and saturn, along with the rest of the miniscule amount of traffic there was that night. As we all get back the saturn pulls next to me and want to stop and chat. We pull into a honda dealer and they are all amazed at my car for some reason. First words out were "You musta been sprayin!!" I'm pretty confused until I find out the saturn had a 75 dry shot along with minor stuff like an intake and exhaust, with the same engine i have. He had the coupe version, and one less person to worry about. I ask him if he wanted to race with no one in the car, but unfortunately we never got to. I have about 10 guys looking at my car like its a damn ferrari, making me pop the engine to prove the stockness, and asking for the mileage (191k). That was probably the funniest thing that has ever happened racing. My friends were dying from laughter as we left.

8) After I drop all them back home, I have to travel that road to get back to my place, so i figure why not get a few races in. modded camry with black bodykit (nicest camry I have seen) was killed. 2 lengths to 60, so was a modded teg

Apologies for the long read but it IS a whole week after all

Nice deaths and kills. Your car sounds like its still funning strong for having 191k on it.

Sounds like a good week to me. So what's been done to this Saturn of yours?

Re: A week in the life of my car (caution: multiple sentences)

windshield was replaced due to a girl thinking she could climb on my car and not damage anything

Original door was involved in a small scrape with a some all metal rusted out truck. Did no damage to the truck, tore a ginormous hole in my plastic

Oh and the little thing on the front that I guess prevents scrapes on a curb fell off (plastic bolts and rubber bands go figure) so I guess i have some mad leet weight reduction

Nice to see you really read the post haha.

I lost to the srt-4
Lost to the 350z
Lost to the mustang gt
with people in the car the spraying saturn and 240 beat me, would have won without 500 extra lbs in the car

see, its not all victories
