95 Transmission, no 1st or 4th gear
My 95 Grand Prix lost 1st and 4th gear. The check engine lamp is on, but I don't know what code because that particular year you can't do the "count flashing light " method.
What ya'll think, tranny done or just a solenoid problem. When I put it in reverse there's no slipping, hard to tell when having it in drive, because it's taking of in 2nd gear. |

Re: 95 Transmission, no 1st or 4th gear
You need the code, trans is in default now, it must be scanned, no other way.

Re: 95 Transmission, no 1st or 4th gear
So if it's a solinoid problem, the trans will go into default? (at Chrysler we called it "limp mode")
Anyway to get it out of default, like disconnect the battery? With a Chrysler you'd just shut off the car, and restart it. |
