96 Tracker noise problem
My Tracker makes two strange noises. One noise is only heard when accelerating and slowing down. It stops when the car is idling. The other noise is constant when it is cold out. I had the first noise checked out by GM dealer. They can only say maybe it's the speedometer and the labor would make it too costly to repair. And that it's not dangerous, just an annoyance. Anyone with similar problems?

Re: 96 Tracker noise problem
Sounds like the first noise could be the speedo cable it's a common problem.
it will sound like tic tic tic tic tic tic getting slower and faster with wheel speed. You will hear the noise coming from the dash area. |

Re: 96 Tracker noise problem
You described the noise perfectly. Any idea how to fix it?
