questions on relocating ur gas cap and building a center console

i was wanderin if anyone knew how to relocate the filler cap to behind ur tail light....and was wanderin on building a center console..both for a 93 s10 blazer...i was thinking bout maybe a half plexiglass console or someting....

filler- run pipe to the new one. Going to have to be a little more specific on the console if you want any help.

how would u rig the tail light to hinge out and about the console i was just look for ideas in general...thanx

Put a hinge on one side, on the other side put a 'push-release' magnet thing, cant remember the real name, but you can get them at furniture suply places. You see them on glass doors on entertainment centers alot, it has a magnet that holds the onto a metal striker plate, then when you push it it pops in and releases the striker plate, letting the door swing open.

yeah i get what ur talkin about the magnetic thingy..but im not quit sure on the hinge part...what kind of hinge and how do i mount it and all....and will i have to cut some of the body part of the tail light out....sorry bout all the questions im sorta a new guy at some of this...thanx for all

You'll need to fabricate a hinge and weld it to the inside of the body most likely.

Pick up some truck magazines and see how other people do it. I wouldnt weld it, bolting alows for adjustment..... mike is addicted to welding though.

Pff...if you're good you wont need to adjust it. You still need to weld a bracket to the body, unless you want bolts coming out the side of your car.
