What to look for when buying a Millenia?

I am interested in purchasing a 99 it has 160,000 miles on it..do these cars have any major problems (like the 626's and trannys)?

what should i pay close attention to?

any key points will be helpful when inspecting..thanks

Re: What to look for when buying a Millenia?

I have a 99 with 70k on it. The only issues I have run into are the cost with changing the timing belt was 2x taht of my Camry and Prelude. this according to dlr was due to the complexity of the engine....who knows. Occasionally I have had a problem remving the key frm ignition...usually rotate the wheel a bit and it comes out fine. It has been hard on tires with multiple alignments needed/replacements but that could be lousy Hawaii roads. Going in for inner cv boots and brake this week but that is probaly standard for this age and miles. Its the 5th Mazda i have had including 626T, GLC, rx7 and I have taken all of them to at least 100k b4 buying new one. For what its worth I drive mostly hiway at 65-75 mph, chge oil every 3k rotate tires etc. So far this car has been a winner.
