Question 93 apv 3.1 TBI no gas coming out of injector

Ill try to make this short. I just bought this van, it ran great! You can barley hear this engine run. But it died on a major road here while going 70 mph. I wasen't driving it, my mom was. She said it just stalled out of no where. I got to her and it tried to crank and it gets no where. So we figure ignition problem.

I changed the module in the distributor, figuring best guess that could be it, as there was no spark when I pulled the plug and laid it on the block while cranking it. After 3 hours of finding a new wiring harness for the distributor (old one crumbled as I took the plugs off it).that was changed. Still no spark. My brother started moving the wires around and looking for a problem and some how got allot of spark from the coil with his test light that was hooked to the batterie and melted it???
Not sure how that happened. But we replaced it.
At this point the fuel was still spraying in a perfect cone shape out of the injector.

New rotor? We changed that and it started right up. Got home all was good. Went out that night to get someone from work and it tried to stall slowing down at the tool both. But as long as I was going 65-70 it was fine. Got there and parked and the van stalled. I checked for spark no spark. my brother got there looked at it moved the distributor cap around to see if it was loose and it wasn’t said crank it so I can hear what its doing, and I started right up.

Went home it was fine. Started it the next morning. And it stalled 3 times going to a store 1 mile away. We change the distributor cap, and the wires. Now no gas is spraying from the injector.

Still didn’t help so we got the test light out. There’s spark to the plugs, spark at the coil. We stuck the test light in the wire for the fuel pump relay and got the fuel pump to come on. There’s power going to everything. My brother took the fuel line off past the filter under the van and I turned the key to the on position and he got sprayed with gas, so the filter isn’t clogged.

He took the injectors out to see if the screens where clogged. There fine. The gasket for the top of the TBI unit crumbled so we need a new one of those. But gas is going everywhere if you turn the key so it’s getting to where it’s supposed to be. But whatever tells the injector to open isn’t doing its job. And I need some help on what that could be besides the ECM because like I said in the beginning I just got this van 2 weeks ago and have already spent about 300 in parts. (Wheel hub needed done, tire, and water pump).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks , KIM

Get a noid lite and see if the injectors pulse also check the injector fuses, post back results. Check for 12v at injectors before testing with the noid lite.

they got power, i just redid the gaskets for the TBI , not all of them but all the top ones and the screens on the injectors. now i have fuel coming out of the top of the injector. ??? i guess alot of gas in the wrong spot is better than none?

well we just replaced the TPS and it didnt help i looked and we didnt push the injectors in hard enough , now they dont leak any where. they did spray fuel, 1 burst for about 1 second and that was it. still trying to find the problem, all we have managed to do is fix what we have been breaking trying to find the problem.......

If there's power and fuel present at the injector unit, but none coming out of the injectors, the injectors are probably bad. Test the injectors with an ohm meter, acceptable resistance is 1.2-1.6 ohms.
