ABS wheel sensor 2000 4x4

My ABS light is steady on. I've read some other posts and got some good info. Thanks. I replaced both front hubs a little over a year ago. I realize that the sensor for the ABS is inside these. If my problem is a bad wheel sensor, does that mean I have to replace the whole hub assembly? Seems costly? I haven't got a chance to dive into my problem totally yet, but I did check and clean both fuses and they were in good shape. Will check the wires to the ABS sensors this weekend hoping this is the fix. Hoping its not the main controller.

First step is to get the ABS code no. That will point you to the problem.
But you will need to get it on a ABS capable scanner to get code.
Post back code no.

Can I have this done at an auto parts store or do I have to go to a dealer/mechanic?

If they have a ABS capable scanner which most do not.
Ask them and see also some parts places rent scanners.
But bottom line it will need to be better grade scanner to read ABS codes and data.
You need that code to know what way to go on it.
Good Luck and if you can get the code post back.
