?Repair manual
Is the "Chilton Repair Manual: 1979 - 1989 Chevy Caprice" a good choice to buy/use for a novice at auto repair?
Would the GM repair manual be better or would it be more technical than a novice would need (read that: be able to understand!!!)? http://www.1motormart.com/performanc...e=91&brand=603

I have a gm manual and it is made more for auto techs then diy. I also have haynes and i like those too.

I have the Haynes '77-'90 full size Chevrolet manual and I find it to be very informational.

Check ebay. On ebay I've bought
1979-89 Chiltons for $6.50 USD 1988 Caprice Shop Manual $19 USD 1988 Caprice Electrical Supplement $4 USD 1990 Caprice Wagon/Custom Cruiser for $5 USD Sometimes you have to be be patient, but I don't think you'll beat the prices on ebay. I"m still waiting for a 1979 manual. Don't want to pay big bucks for it, so eventually somehting cheap will come up. Ken
