Re: can u help tanne

Lets see if I read this correctly:

You have a 1995 Plymouth Grand Voyager Rallye (95 p g v rally) with 3.0L and 4-speed ultradive automatic. Right now, your transmission is stuck in "limp mode", or locked into second gear. Limp mode is the condition the transmission selects to tell you there is an internal fault with the electronic circuity that controls the transmission. Simply shutting off the engine and restarting should clear the limp mode condition. If restarting your car repeatedly does not get the transmission working correctly, then there is something wrong inside. You will need to take it to a transmission shop and have the technician read the error codes in the computer. The solution may be simple or complex, depending on the codes read. Good luck and let us know what you find.

Another option? Before you take it to the trannsmission shop, take it to Autozone, PepBoys or the like and have them connect a scanner and read the codes for free. If it's just a sensor you may be able stay out of the clutches of the transmission shop. If it's more serious, at least you'll know whats wrong before the shop touches it. Let us know how you did.
