1997 Lean bank 1, lean bank 2
I'm having a heck of a time getting my Jimmy to pass the new NY emissions test. Code shows lean bank 1 and 2. So far I've replaced both o2 sensors, Maf sensor. check engine light still lights under 100 miles of resetting codes.
Any suggestions as to where to look next ? Thanks |

Post the exact codes along with any service history you have, and we can try to troubleshoot it for you.

Re: 1997 Lean bank 1, lean bank 2
Codes were P0171, P0174
I'm thinking there must be a vaccume leak somewhere but I sure cant find one. |

Well unmetered air is getting into the system from some place, no mods done? How does the engine run? Check for low fuel pressure?

Re: 1997 Lean bank 1, lean bank 2
No mods were done by myself, And none show in the service records from the first owner.
The engine rus fine just a little shake at idle. There was a time last winter when it would kinda bog down when taking off from stop, but that has stopped. |

You should have a full scan done to look at all the parameters and continue to look for vacuum leaks particularly around the intake.
