Passlock Cylinder Data incorrect??

Anyone deal with this error code p2960 Ive replaced the tumbler twice already, and am getting at my wits end. Ive read the thread on putting the switch in to bypass however Id rather it just work right rather than bypass it, any thoughts...

Re: Passlock Cylinder Data incorrect??

Looks like a body control module (BCM) fault. Some Passkey and anti-theft problems may be the result of a defective BCM.

What year and model Alero?

Re: Passlock Cylinder Data incorrect??

Its a 2002 GX 4 cylinder, just replaced front hub bearing, goodyear where I had it fixed told me to take it to the dealer to reset the codes, said that would fix the security light fault, I have my doubts.
