Re: Ls Maf Sensor

I would seriously suggest
A) using hte search feature
B) going to 3si and using the search feature

Just judging from your last few posts about knock and air/fuel controllers, etc. There is a ton of great info out there, that is really unfair to try and summarize so quickly. There are soo many products, that it is impossible for us to tell you what you 'should buy'. It really depends on your setup/goals/future setup.

The ls1 and ls6 maf are larger mafs, they flow more air. The translator is the air/fuel controller. However without larger turbos and injectors, air/fuel controllers benefits wont really be fully reached. I mean, if you are close to stock, then getting an safc and a nice tune on it, can give you some easy hp. However, if you plan on going with a significantly larger aftermarket turbo setup in the future, a maft/safc combo wont be able to deliver enough of a range of adjustment so that you could properly turn for the extra fuel needed.

So like I said, I would suggest using the search feature. There is a ton of great info already on both boards, and that is exactly how I learned. Then if you still have some confusion or a more specific question, it is alot easier for us to answer with an applicable answer.

Your 1996 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 is the 92nd out of the 315 that were made that year. Only 21 of which are exactly identical.
