98 honda...parts?
I have a 98 honda civic LX I have a body kit, header, high flow cat, cat back, cold air intake, pretty much all the basics. havent installed the exhaust system yet.. but I need to so i can have my couch back.
none the less I was wondering what everyones opinion on makeing my 4 door civic a convertible would be. I have the lambo door kits for the front and suicide for the rear. also I was wanting to know if anyone knows of great places to get all the mods for my ride as well.

Re: 98 honda...parts?
uh....making a non convertible vehicle into a convertible one usually ends in disaster. unless you are skilled in welding, and you understand structure and physics that are placed on the chassis when the roof system is removed. so, in short, dont do it. also, there are hundreds of sources for civic parts.

Re: 98 honda...parts?
Yeah, your roof is there for the structural integrity of your car. In convertibles, other areas are supported to keep the car from tearing apart. So unless you know how to do it the right way, don't.

Re: 98 honda...parts?
yea making it a convertible will def make your car give easily in the middle and the doors are harder to open and all if you dont stiffen it up and all..
My brother convertibled a 91 integra and had it all planned out first it sat 8 mths in the shop being done way it should have been and everything else... Dont waste your time, waste of money cause no one would really buy it either... |
